This case study presents the use of manual plastic injection prototyping with HoliPress for the manufacture of prototypes of valve parts. Our client, a valve specialist, was looking to produce prototypes using plastic injection because 3D printing and plastic machining did not guarantee the necessary resistance to pressure tests.
Step 1
The engineering team used Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to create 3D models of the valve parts to be prototyped.
Step 2
3D resin molds were printed to match the 3D models of the parts. These molds will be used to contain the plastic during the injection process.
Step 3

Thanks to plastic injection prototyping in good material, the injected parts were able to withstand a pressure of 25 bars, unlike prototyping carried out by machining.
Prototypes produced quickly, thus accelerating the development cycle.
A method that has proven to be economical compared to other prototyping alternatives.
The prototypes were resistant to pressure tests, which was essential for the company.
