This use case is based on Francisco Cervantes’ Tad-Pool project, which began in 2016 in the field of frog breeding. The main challenge was to create affordable, high-quality plastic injection prototypes to evaluate the market. Traditional plastic injection methods were expensive for small batches of parts. In 2021, HoliPress offered a simple and flexible solution. This allowed Francisco to produce quality prototypes with a satisfactory surface finish, facilitating successful market testing and validation of the Tad-Pool project.
Step 1
Francisco Cervantes used Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to create 3D models of the frog breeding parts to be prototyped.
Step 2
He was able to color the industrial plastic material (Natural PP) using mineral powders by mixing them before injecting the parts with HoliPress.
Step 3
Francisco Cervantes used HoliPress to inject the desired industrial material, in this case colored Natural PP, into the molds. This step allowed the production of a pre-production run of 500 pieces to test the market.

Unlike traditional plastic injection molding methods, HoliPress enabled more economical and efficient small-scale prototyping, paving the way for the project’s commercial viability.
